1. Why am I reading this?
I can venture a few guesses:
You’re my mom and I put your email address in without asking.
You are interested in community living
You got lost
2. What is Happening here?
God knows.
I have been writing since I could, well, write.
I took many twists and turns in my career and ended up writing for a living which is still hard to believe at times.
One thing I have been missing though, is writing my own stuff. I started hundreds of books and finished one so far. I launched a few blogs and never pushed through.
One of my favorite things to write for my clients is newsletters. So when I heard of Substack I figured it could work. Combining “my stuff” with the newsletter concept.
3. What do I write about
“Write what you know” is the famous quote.
I’m not good at fiction. But I love a good true story.
Since 2016 I have been exploring Community. It started with coworking and quickly progressed to community living (coliving).
I am aware I am not the first to write about this topic, and I will not be the last one.
I like to think I have something relevant to say though (don’t we all?).
I colive for a living. I am both a “coliver” and a coliving owner. A community member and builder and it gives the experience a particular 360 view that I am sure can benefit others.
The dream is to democratize the “coliving trend” and make community living (coliving, cohousing…) more approachable and less daunting through sharing real, relatable, and raw experiences.
4. What Can I expect by subscribing?/Supporting?
1 piece a week. 4 pieces a month.
Three of them will be reflection pieces based on my experiences.
The last one (paid) will be tips/dos and donts for colivers and coliving owners based on my research and experience as a coliver , manager and owner.
As a supporter, you’ll also get first dibs on my second book “Home, Savoury Home” coming out Fall 2025. And of course, eternal gratitude.
5. Why me?
Ah the eternal question. Here are my coliving credentials:
I lived at K9 Coliving, a self-run community of 50 people for 3 years. During this time. I shared my room with 1 person for most of my stay. I also did a 4-month stunt in the bunk bedroom with 5 other roommates.
I have been part of Coliving Hub since 2020. Hosting webinars, workshops, masterminds, and in-person retreats for coliving owners around the world.
I worked for a year as a Community Manager of COLIVE in Sweden.
Since 2023 I run winter coliving at Selgars with my partner Anton (who I met at K9 Coliving).
I wrote a book about my experience (and other things) in 2021, called Have Your Cake and Share it Too.
Since 2020 I host a podcast on which I interview people who have experienced community living (currently on pause but starting again soon).
I work as a copywriter with several coliving spaces in Europe. Designing newsletters, blog articles, and workflows for customer journeys.
